Paradigm Releases Interpret 2008 for E&P Engineers
Software package includes new capabilities and enhanced functionality for pressure transient analysis
Paradigm™ (www.pdgm.com), a leading provider of enterprise software solutions to the global oil and natural gas exploration and production (E&P) industry, announces the worldwide release of its Paradigm Interpret 2008 software for pressure transient analysis used in the determination of well productivity and reservoir performance. The announcement was made at the 2008 European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) 70th Annual Conference and Exhibition in Rome, Italy. The 2008 version includes new capabilities and features requested by customers for additional functionality and increased data quality.
Paradigm Interpret 2008 includes new functionality for performing deconvolution for improved analysis clarity, and a new option for fitting gradients in multi-session Wireline Formation Test (WFT) analysis. The package also offers data compatibility with Paradigm Geolog formation evaluation software, enabling the sharing of field and analytical data for improved model construction and deeper analysis of results.
“Pressure transient analysis provides a greater understanding of fluid flow within the reservoir,” said David Verdun, Paradigm’s executive vice president of R&D and customer support. “The new version of Interpret builds upon the strengths of previous releases by providing a number of new features and enhancements that improve data quality for a more accurate determination of reservoir conditions, resulting in more confident decision-making.”
Paradigm Interpret 2008 is used for the design and analysis of pressure transients obtained from a variety of tests on exploration, appraisal and production wells. This Microsoft Windows® solution combines powerful modeling capabilities with an intuitive user interface and is fully interoperable with Microsoft Office®.
“Paradigm has also enhanced the accessibility of its pressure transient analysis solution by providing data links to its industry-leading formation evaluation solution, Geolog™. We continue to broaden our reservoir analysis, modeling, and engineering workflows with improved connectivity,” said Richard Pelling, Paradigm’s solution manager for petrophysical solutions. “This is a testament to our unconflicted commitment to provide our customers with rich technologies for understanding reservoir dynamics.”
